Eight Foreign Ministers to Lapland
Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will host several European colleagues at an informal meeting in Saariselkä, Finnish Lapland on 12–14 March. The seminar in Lapland, organised at the invitation of Foreign Minister Stubb, will be attended by Catherine Ashton, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and by the Foreign Ministers of Estonia, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey.
Better, Faster, Stronger: Launch of new selection procedure for EU officials
On 16 th March, the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) will launch a modernised and streamlined selection procedure for EU officials, with its first competition for Administrators under the new arrangements. The new system will be better by establishing annual competitions for the most common job profiles, thus allowing candidates to plan their applications more effectively and helping strategic human resource planning by the EU institutions.
Cabinet Committee on European Union Affairs
The Cabinet Committee on European Union Affairs usually meets on Friday mornings. After the Cabinet Committee meeting, the Government Communications Unit holds a weekly briefing for representatives of media on the issues discussed by the Cabinet Committee.
